The aim of the Q2612a website is to provide you with information about your HP 12A toner cartridge and also provide a list of sources to buy your cartridges so that you don't have to spend hours trawling the web.
The HP Q2612A was introduced in around 2005 as a toner for a wide range of Hewlett Packard (HP) laser printers. The HP 12a toner was a staple of around 15 different printers including compact designs such as the HP LaserJet 1012 and 1020 and multifunction printers such as the HP LaserJet 3015 and HP LaserJet M1319MFP. The reason for the popularity of the HP12A was largely due to the fact that it was a very reliable toner cartridge. It also offered good value for money with a single 12a toner producing around 2000-2200 pages at 5% coverage. A major advantage was that the Q2612A cartridge was used in such a wide range of printers. So it was an appropriate low cost toner for the home and small business user but could also be used in larger multifunction machines. This meant that offices would often buy 4 or 5 HP LaserJet machines for different purposes and could buy the same toner in bulk to save on costs. Also, the fact that the HP 12A toner was easy to remanufacture meant that you could pick up a good quality reliable compatible product as reduced prices. For example you can get the Q2612a for around £25.00. Here are some of the various laser printers which the HP Q2612A cartridge will fit in
